Developmental and Differential Psychology

The research group on Developmental and Differential Psychology is led by Prof. Anik de Ribaupierre.

Research Fields

Cognitive development across the lifespan

Our main theme of research concerns the study of developmental and interindividual differences, coupled with intra-individual variability (both within and across situations). The main goal is to determine whether intraindividual variability changes across the lifespan and whether intraindividual variability represents a stable individual characteristic.

Cognitive abilities

A second theme of research addresses the question of the structure of the cognitive abilities. More precisely, the objectives are to determine the more adequate factorial structure of the WISC-IV and what are the constructs measured by each subtest.

A third theme of research is related to the influence of social stereotypes and social comparison on cognitive performance.

A fourth theme of research is visuo-spatial working memory from a cognitive, differential and developmental perspective.
