The research group Special Education: Learning, Motivation and Professional Practices is led by Prof. Sylvie Cèbe.

Research Fields

  • Learning processes and knowledge construction in different special education settings (reading, spelling, mathematics …).
  • Situated approach of motivation, emotions and self-regulation in special and regular education settings.
  • Study of special education teachers practices with respect to institutional and situational constraints and freedoms. Also requires the study of special education students’ school curricula and transitions.
  • Conception of instructional tools with the collaboration of teachers and their students.
  • Instructional tools for dyslexic / dysorthographic pupils.
