Bastien Fioretti, a graduate of the Bachelor in Information Systems and Service Science, was awarded the Digital Innovation Award for the Chatbot he developed for the Geneva School of Economics and Management. The Prize for this project, developed as his Bachelor final year project, was awarded to him by the accelerator in digital services and sciences of the University, at the graduation ceremony of the Centre universitaire d’informatique earlier this month.

A Chatbot is a computer program that simulates human conversation through text chats, a clear example of artificial intelligence feature. The one developed for the GSEM will assist future masters’ students in their application process. It will guide candidates and provide personalized answers depending on their profile and study situation (90 different profiles were identified). The GSEM Chatbot will be launched for the opening of the masters’ admissions in January 2021.
