Vera Chau joins the GSEM as Assistant Professor

The University of Geneva has appointed Vera Chau as Assistant Professor at the Geneva School of Economics and Management, effective 1 September 2022.

An American national, Vera Chau received her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics and a BA in International Relations from New York University.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of finance and energy economics, with important implications for sustainable and environmental finance. In particular, she is interested in issues of technology adoption due to technological change and endogenous growth, as well as the impact of financial intermediaries on household finance.

At the GSEM, Professor Chau joins the Geneva Finance Research Institute,  where she will be teaching courses on financial asset pricing.
