Comparison between Springer's edition and the pre-published version:

  • the numbering of the chapters, sections, theorems, etc, is the same.
  • the page numbering is different : the Springer book has 535 pages while the prepublished version had originally only 445.
  • If you quote the book, please, use Springer's edition.

    • Errata and Comments
  • The pre-published version (PPV) contains an additional chapter (Chapter 12) devoted to errata and comments (to both versions) and a list of main typos. More small corrections (spelling, English usage, obvious typos) had been performed in PPV, without notice when the comprehension is not really impaired.

    • More comments and/or corrections (even typos) are welcome.
