H2020 Reloaded

Strategies and tools to boost scientific and industrial innovation in the Geneva area.
With the full association of Switzerland to the framework programme H2020, Research Services organises an event to update and promote the innovation aspects inherent to the programme.
What are the challenges and opportunities for the scientific and innovative industrial sector of the Geneva area? Which strategies are to be considered? Which are the European funding schemes to be targeted by scientists and SME to maximize their chances of success?

The morning session will address strategic aspects of research and innovation for the scientific and local industrial landscape; the afternoon programme will be dedicated to funding schemes for SME only.

Guest speakers include : Wolfgang Burtscher (European Commission), Daniel Loeffler (SPEG), Direction de SwissCore Bruxelles, Denis Hochstrasser (UNIGE Rectorate), Laure Ognois-Zaugg (UNIGE Research Services), Emile Dupont (Euresearch Head Office), Eva Servoli (SME Contact Point Euresearch Genève, UNIGE Research Services),  Inès Rossetti (EEN Switzerland),  Inspiralia (Spain).

RESEARCH SERVICES LATEST NEWS

H2020 : Associated !

Switzerland is fully associated to Horizon 2020 as of 1 January 2017, thus for the remaining four years of H2020 (2017-2020).
Projects for which the grant agreement has already been signed are not affected by the new full association. Funding for these projects is guaranteed from the same funding source for the entire duration of the project – State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) or European Commission (EC).
Proposals which are not yet submitted must take into account that they are funded by the EC with Switzerland being an Associated Country. This means that their budget must be requested from the EC ("EC requested funding" column should not be zero). This also affects the eligibility criteria for collaborative projects, where the minimum requirement of 3 partners from 3 different Member States or Associated Countries now includes Switzerland.
Proposals already submitted or evaluated but for which the contract is signed as of 1 January 2017 are treated as an Associated Country with full funding by the EC.
