Conditional transformations using the menu
Conditional transformations let you, as the name says, assign values to a variable
for selected cases only.
opens this dialog, where you need
to specify a target variable name (you can also define a label; you will then have to
enter a numeric expression that can be anything
from a single constant (shown in the example) or a longer expression using
operators, functions, and other variable, for instance V1/V2
meaning that the result will be the addition of V1 and V2.
To specify the condition for selecting cases for the transformation,
click the IF button....to open an addtional dialog:
Use this dialog box to enter the logical expression.
