SPSS2ARC is an SPSS script (Sax Basic) exporting the current data set to a dataset you can read with ARC.

• The data matrix you wish to export should be ready in current data set.
• Download and open it with SPSS (double-click on the file) or
• Run the script. Be patient, depending on the size of the data matrix it may take some time; wait until a message pops up; if you interrupt the process somehow you will only get a partial file.
• Open Xlispstat (with ARC installed) an use to read the resulting file (You must use the ARC menu, the Lispstat does not read this kind of file!)

• Missing values are converted to ?, the default missing value indicator for ARC.
• Beware: ARC does not like accented characters, i.e. before exporting make sure replace all accented characters in labels and names.
