“Gendering Humanitarian Knowledge" - 20-21 avril

The conference “Gendering Humanitarian Knowledge” invites scholars to think about the notion of humanitarian knowledge in a multidisciplinary way, by combining perspectives such as gender history, the histories of emotions and the body, literary and visual culture studies, global health history, as well as the history of institutions and their agents.

This event is organized by the Institute for Ethics, History, and the Humanities (UNIGE), the Institute of Gender Studies (UNIGE) and the Institución Milà i Fontanals (CSIC-Barcelona).

Le colloque “Gendering Humanitarian Knowledge” propose une réflexion autour de la notion de savoir humanitaire, à travers une approche multidisciplinaire, combinant l’approche de l’histoire du genre, celle des émotions et du corps, de la littérature et de la culture visuelle à l’histoire globale de la santé, des institutions et de leurs acteurs.

Cet événement est organisé par l’Institut Ethique, Histoire, Humanité (UNIGE), l’Institut des études genre (UNIGE) et l’Institución Milà i Fontanals (CSIC-Barcelona).
