Objectives:
- Discover the issues and best practices involved in the long-term preservation of research data underpinning the results of a research project.
- Learn about the specific features of the different types of data repository and the criteria to use in order to choose the most suitable one for archiving and disseminating your research data.
Description: Have you reached the end of your research and work on your research data? Are you aware of the issues surrounding the preservation of your data, and of any preservation and/or sharing requirements imposed by your funder or institution? Do you know what data to preserve, where and how? How do you choose a platform that will enable you to archive your research data, and depending on the case, to share it?
This presentation will take explore these issues, providing you with practical information on the various aspects of preserving your research data, and giving you the keys to archiving and, where appropriate, sharing your research data.
