STELLARIS 8 FALCON (FAst Lifetime CONtrast)
Fully integrated solution for Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) - video-rate lifetime imaging acquisition for rapid kinetic studies in live cells.
- Follow fast molecular interactions via FLIM-FRET (Förster Resonance Energy Transfer)
- Use biosensors to detect changes in metabolic state and microenvironment
- Apply lifetime contrast to separate multiple fluorophores
- Acquire FLIM data with minimal training
- Combine FLIM with other modalities
- Temperature and CO2 control
- 405 laser
- White light laser - wavelength tunable between 440 nm and 790 nm
- Puls picker - 80, 40, 20, 10, 5 MHz to measure precisely longer lifetimes
- 3 Power HyD S detectors - both analog and photon counting detection (replacing multi-alkali photomultiplier tube (PMT) detectors: enhanced sensitivity in the blue-green range with a Photon Detection Efficiency (PDE) of up to 56%, more than double compared to conventional PMTs)
- 2 Power HyD X - specialized detectors for FLIM - reduced dark noise, high QE, short response time
Lightning
Using optimized image acquisition parameters and on the go deconvolution through parallel GPU processing you can now get superresolution up to 120nm and increased signal to noise using any dye or fluorescent protein. The process is fast and userfriendly. Works in mono and multiphotonic
FALCON (FAst Lifetime CONtrast) for Functional Imaging
Fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) is a very powerful tool because fluorescence lifetime is very sensitive to changes in molecular environment. At the same time, it is independent of fluorophore concentration and photobleaching.
The Stellaris 8 FALCON delivers lifetime and spectral information simultaneously and provides multimodal imaging at a fast rate (SP8 FALCON works 10x faster than classical TCSPC).
