Montreux Jazz Festival
16 days of concerts featuring as many free events as ticketed ones – and most importantly, a quintessential spark that makes it a festival like no other.

Montreux Lakeside
Every year, the gardeners of the city of Montreux adorn the quays with brio. Their special feature: the plant sculptures, created each autumn on a chosen theme. The almost seven-kilometre long lake promenade, between Clarens and Chillon, is also punctuated by numerous statues - mostly legacies of the Montreux Biennale.
Chillon Castle
In Veytaux, near Montreux (30 minutes walking distance), Chillon Castle has stood proudly on its rocky island for nearly a thousand years. Made famous by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s novel “Julie, or the New Heloise” and Lord Byron’s poem “The Prisoner of Chillon”, this fortress is a true treasure from the past: a must-see.
