Publication in Nature Communications : The hippocampus, the cerebral conductor of our daily priorities

How does our brain distinguish between urgent and less urgent goals? Scientists from the University of Geneva and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai have shown how a specific region of our brain is activated to prioritise our activities.

These discoveries, described in the journal Nature Communications, could have significant implications for understanding psychiatric disorders, particularly depression, which can hamper the formulation of clear goals.
