- Assessment of the relation between aggressive behavior and the physiological response to stress
We probably all have the intuition that being stressed increases our tendency to engage in aggressive behavior. But how exactly does the stress affects us? Does the stress lead to a general increase in the motivation to be aggressive or does it affect us only in specific situations? And how does the physiological response to stress affects behavior?
To disentangle these questions, we combine a stress induction procedure and an interaction paradigm in which participants are provoked. Physiological measurements related to the autonomic and neuroendocrine responses to stress are acquired throughout the experiment.
