Completion of Module 2 on International Children's Rights Law
Last week with our students at the Master of Advanced Studies in Children’s Rights we successfully completed Module 2 on International Children's Rights Law.
This module offered an extensive examination and analysis of legal frameworks concerning children's rights. Distinguished professors and lecturers Arne Vandaele, Benyam Mezmur, Clara Burbano Herrera, Karl Hanson, Marc Goodale, Roberta Ruggiero, Yves Haeck, Ton Liefaard, Wouter Vandenhole delivered captivating lectures on various topics, including cultural relativism, normative content, regional instruments, and direct applicability.
The highlight of the module was the study visit to the Committee on the Rights of the Child at Palais Wilson in Geneva, where participants had the incredible opportunity to attend the 93rd Session. This visit allowed for firsthand exposure to the Committee's work and deepened participants' understanding of the monitoring procedures. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these esteemed professors for their invaluable contributions and look forward to Module 3.
