Dark Matter Searches
With the ATLAS data at √s = 8 TeV, we searched for dark matter in events with missing transverse momentum and a hadronically decaying W or Z boson (Phys. Rev. Lett. 112, 041802 (2014)), a Z boson (Phys. Rev. D. 90, 012004 (2014)) or heavy quarks (Eur. Phys. J. C (2015) 75:92).
As an example of the results, the figure shows the observed 90% C. L. upper limits on the χ-nucleon scattering cross section as a function of mχ for the spin-dependent D9 effective operators mediating the interaction of the dark-matter particles with the quark-antiquark initial state.
