Debajyoti (Deb), is a former PhD student in the group of Prof. Tobias Golling at the Particle Physics Department (DPNC). He is a member of the RODEM project (Robust Deep Density Models for High-Energy Physics and Solar Physics), and a member and qualified author of the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on October 28th, 2024.
Debajyoti graduated with a BSc in Physics from the Scottish Church College, Kolkata, India, in 2017 and with an MSc in Physics from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, in 2019. Debajyoti's prior research experience includes GAN-based calorimeter simulations as well as data analysis of Drell-Yan processes for a rediscovery of the Z boson. At the Univ. of Geneva and within the RODEM project, Debajyoti was involved in data driven weakly supervised methods for anomaly detection in High Energy, and Astrophysics. He was also involved in diffusion based generative modelling and representation learning via contrastive methods.
