Round Table on “Cooperation and benefit sharing in the basins of the Senegal River and the Niger River”, World Meteorological Organization, 24 September 2015
The Platform for International Water Law and the Geneva Water Hub organize a Round Table on « Cooperation and sharing of benefits in the basins of Senegal and Niger Rivers ». The event will take place at the World Meteorological Organization on 24 September 2015.
The Round Table gathers experts on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in West Africa. It identifies good practices and benefits coming from cooperation on the Senegal and Niger Rivers and appraises lessons learnt for other basins in the world. It will examine the practice of the Organization for the Development of the Senegal River (Organisation pour la mise en valeur du fleuve Sénégal, (OMVS)), the Diama and Manantali Management Companies and the Niger Basin Authority (NBA).
