The Platform celebrates the 10th anniversary of the resolution on the right to water adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the resolution on the right to water, the Platform for International Water Law and the Geneva Water Hub have asked to the Permanent Missions of Togo, Burkina Faso and the International Organization of La Francophonie to intervene to highlight the importance of the human right to water in times of armed conflict and the role of the Geneva List of Principles on the Protection of Water Infrastructure.

S.E.M. Georges NAKSEU-NGUEFANG, Ambassador, Permanent Representative, International Organization of the Francophonie at the United Nations Office in Geneva and Vienna and other International Organizations in Switzerland and Austria.


The UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to safe drinking water and sanitation has also delivered a speech on the responsibilities of several actors in the implementation of this right.
