Synthesis Report of the Philanthropy Lunch
The Platform for International Water Law, the Geneva Water Hub and the Geneva Centre for Philanthropy of the University of Geneva are pleased to share the Synthesis Report of the Philanthropy Lunch on “Water as a Public Good: Room for Philanthropy” which took place on the 11th of December 2019.
Speakers included: Dr Danilo Türk, Chairman of the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace and former President of Republic of Slovenia; Dr Mara Tignino, Lead Legal Specialist, Platform for International Water Law at the Geneva Water Hub and Reader, Faculty of Law and Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva and Cédric Lecamp, Senior Investment Manager – Thematic Equities, Pictet-Water Fund.
The Panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Laurence Boisson de Chazournes, Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Geneva and Geneva Water Hub; Member of the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Henry Peter, Head of the Geneva Centre for Philanthropy and an update of the activities of the Center was provided by Ms. Letitia Gill, Executive Director of Geneva Centre for Philanthropy.
