Professor Rashid Bahar
Rashid Bahar is full professor at the Law Faculty of the University and Geneva and partner at Advestra, where he practices corporate law, banking law and securities regulation. Since 2022, he is also vice-dean of the Faculty of Law in charge of education. At the University, he teaches the corporate law and securities regulations as well as law and economics. His research focuses on legal issues related to financial markets regulation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and corporate finance, covering issues such as legal capital, secured transactions and corporate restructuring. Rashid Bahar holds a doctoral degree from the University of Geneva and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, which he also attended as a visiting researcher. He is the author of various publications and is regularly invited to speak about these issues in seminars and colloquia in Switzerland and abroad.
