Professor Gian Paolo Romano
Gian Paolo Romano is Associate Professor at the University of Geneva (since 2010). He holds a dual PhD from the University of Paris 2 and the University of Padua (2005). He was appointed Privatdozent at the University of Sankt Gallen in 2009 and is Visiting Professor at the University of Paris 2 (since 2010). His main areas of research and interest include conflict of laws, international litigation, family law and comparative law. He is Co-Editor of the Yearbook of Private International Law. Gian Paolo Romano practised law in Italy, Belgium and England, served as Chairman in international arbitration and currently advises Swiss law firms in cross-border transactions and disputes, both in the family and commercial context.
