I am an exchange PhD student in Environmental Biogeochemistry and Ecotoxicology, at the Department F.-A. Forel for environmental and aquatic sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Geneva. My research topics focus on the diversity and structure characteristics of microbial community and the nitrogen cycling microbial community in river sediment, as well as the influence mechanism of pollutants to these characteristics in aquatic environment. The project I proposed to develop during the one-year research stay focuses on “Investigating the aquatic microbial community in the co-present of organic matters and heavy metals through metagenomic approach”. My project is funded by China Scholarship Council PhD Joint Training program.
