Julie Vuignier joined the Energy Efficiency group at the Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Geneva, as a research assistant in September 2024. Her research focuses on energy poverty in Switzerland, particularly in the canton of Geneva.

Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations followed by a Master's degree in Public Policy and Management. She then gained valuable international experience (Swiss Embassy in Chile and Group on Earth Observations), as well as more local expertise working for the Cantonal Office for the Environment in Geneva.

In August 2024, she completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, specializing in Energy. Her master's thesis explored the links between policy design and energy efficiency in the industrial sector.
