David Baud, MD, PhD, Dr.,Specialist in Materno-Fetal Medicine at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), - Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Medical Genetics, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Dr Baud is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, operative Gynecology, and materno-foetal medicine. After his PhD on Human Papilloma Virus vaccine, he trained at various hospitals worldwide including Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto (2010-2012); Hopital Necker in Paris (2009-2010) and St-Mary’s Hospital in London,UK (2004-2005); with which he continues active research and clinical collaborations. His current research focuses on emerging infectious causes of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Helped by his previous research in vaccine development (PhD), his lab is also investigating a potential Chlamydia vaccine. More recently, his research group focuses on Zika virus and has been involved in the launch of an international registry of pregnant women exposed to Zika during pregnancy.
