Dr Arnaud L'Huillier
Presentation Title: Clinical Primer : A fatal case of disseminated enterovirus infection
After studying medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Geneva and training in paediatrics at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), Dr Arnaud L'Huillier trained in paediatric infectious diseases at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He continued his studies in Canada at the University Health Network, where he specialised in virology and transplant infectiology. Thanks to his research work in this field, he received the Future Leader Career Development Award from the International Paediatric Transplant Association (IPTA).
In 2019, Dr Arnaud L'Huillier returns to the HUG and obtains his privat-docent in 2021. He becomes head of HUG’s pediatric infectious diseases unit in 2022 and director of the Department of Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics’ clinical research platform in 2024
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was appointed to represent Swiss Paediatrics on the Swiss National COVID-19 Science Task Force.
