Recognition of Geometrical Shapes

Began in 2013.

This research is interested in looking at the production and usage of playful activities for shape recognition with pupils aged 3-6. The first step of the research consisted in analysing the available handbooks in France and the romand teaching tools. This analysis was based upon a typology of tasks around shape recognition with pupils aged 3-6 that we developed. The rest of the research was dedicated to creating resources in order to work with pupils aged 3-6 on shape recognition according to their characteristics.
