After earning a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a DEA (Diplôme d'Études Approfondies) in cognitive and experimental psychology at the University of Geneva, Virginie Descloux became a psychologist specializing in neuropsychology accredited by the FSP (Swiss Federation of Psychologists), alongside completing her doctoral thesis.
She has worked as a clinical psychologist in various institutions until she became independent.
She has research interests in the visuo-spatial and topographic field (topographic disorientation, developmental visuo-spatial disorder, etc.).
