PRÉSENTATION

Lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Geneva (Switzerland), Géry Marcoux taught at first, during 10 years, in the first years of secondary school, in Brussels (Belgium). At the same time as his teacher's career, he obtained a Master's degree in Educational Sciences at the Free University of Brussels (Belgium) then worked as a researcher at this university, in the team of Professor Bernard Rey. In 2006, he joined the team "Development, Learning and Interventions in School Situations" of Professor Marcel Crahay. It is within this frame that he realized his thesis " School tasks and mobilization adapted by the procedures: what parameters are influential? " and that he is resolutely registered, today, in the field of the school learning and educational psychology within the team of Professor Emmanuel Sander. His current works concern, on the one hand, the construction and the possible evolution of teachers and pre-service teachers’ beliefs in their decision-making and the choice of their practices and, on the other hand, the construction and the evolution of the trainees’ beliefs regarding school tasks and their influences on the learning.
