Ubiquitous and used on a massive scale for years, plastic has become an essential product in our society. We are currently faced with unprecedented quantities of plastic in the form of macro-, meso-, micro- and nanoplastics in the environment and therefore in aquatic systems. Many questions are being asked about the impact on water resources and drinking water treatment processes.
