Ilaria Masiero is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of language economics at the Observatoire Économie-Langues-Formation of the University of Geneva, where she works mainly on the APSIS project ("Advantages of Plurilingualism in Switzerland: Individuals and Society"). Ilaria holds a PhD in Crime Economics from the Fundação Getulio Vargas, a Master's degree in Competition Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and a Master's degree in Economics from the Bocconi University (Italy). She has a bachelor degree in political science and has extensive training in social sciences as well as in econometrics and quantitative methods. Before joining the Observatoire élf, Ilaria was a researcher at the University of Birmingham and worked as a consultant and economic researcher for the private sector.
