Lexical Semantics
The Department has always been very active in the Lexical Semantics field, in particular in the definition of standards (International Standards for Language Engineering, ISLE), the theory of Generative Lexicon (projects LEGERe and AUPELF-UREF, "Automatic acquisition of Generative Lexicon elements to increase performances of information retrieval systems") and collocation processing.
We have organised the International Conference on Generative Approaches to the Lexicon (GL) several times.
