Contribution to the Integration and Implementation Insights weblog

Honorary professor and GEDT member Roderick Lawrence recently contributed to the Integration and Implementation Insights community weblog  (also known as i2Insights). This weblog brings together researchers interested in sharing concepts and methods for understanding and acting on complex societal and environmental problems (problems like refugee crises, global climate change, and inequality).

In his post entitled "Scaffolding transdisciplinary contributions" , Roderick Lawrence discusses the scaffolding metaphor as a concept transferred from building construction to pedagogy and teaching methods. This metaphor has also been applied to multi-stakeholder processes that require collective decision making about complex societal challenges.
