Marion Planque is a doctoral assistant at the Institute of Governance for Environment and Territorial Development (GEDT). She also holds the position of coordinator for the complementary certificate in Geomatics, a program designed to enable students to use geomatic tools to address current environmental and social challenges.

She completed her Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science at the University Toulouse 1 Capitole, followed by a Master's in International Business Law at the University Bordeaux IV with a study stint at the University of Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, she earned another Master's in Development Studies at the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.

Before joining the University, Marion worked for three years at the United Nations Environment Programme on the MapX project, an online and open-access geospatial platform aimed at promoting sustainable use of natural resources and environmental conservation.
