Duzgun Dogus

 

 

Doğuş Düzgün is a PhD research fellow at the University of Geneva under the supervision of Prof. Frederic Giraut and with the support of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship for a one-year period. He holds a Bachelor in International Relations (Dokuz Eylül University) and a Master degree in Political Science (Middle East Technical University). Now, he is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the Middle East Technical University.

 


Research

Doğuş Düzgün studies on the politics of place naming. More specifically, he is interested in the popular reception of place names and bottom-up practices in place naming processes. He is also interested in the international dimension of place names, which have traditionally been conceptualized as local or national phenomena.
