WTO Chairs Programme launches activities at Universidad de los Andes, Colombia
The World Trade Organization Chairs Programme launched trade capacity-building activities at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Under the Programme, academic experts provide trade-related advice to government officials and policymakers, teach students and future trade experts and undertake new research in international trade law and economic policy.
At the launch meeting, GSEM Professor Marcelo Olarreaga, who is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Chairs Programme, highlighted the need for better research into multilateralism and international cooperation and the need to disseminate this research.
