The Institute of Economics and Econometrics has set up an honors program for Bachelor students enrolled in GSEM courses. This program allows a selected number of students to perform project work collaborating with faculty in scientific research projects.

By providing close contact with faculty and researchers, this program offers a unique and distinctive learning environment and aims to promote student knowledge of academic research. Amongst other activities, students are encouraged to attend IEE weekly research seminars where internationally recognized scholars present their latest frontier research.

Four students – Ekaterina Sergheyevna Rebinskaya, Yasmine June Frizlen, Selina Tabea Lehmann, and Ludovic Nicoud – have started this program at the beginning of the semester. They were selected based on their strong interest in research and their grades in the fields of economics, econometrics, and statistics. Throughout the duration of the program, they will share an office located close to the Institute’s faculty and Ph.D. student offices, encouraging interactions with researchers.
