IEE research seminars to resume this week

The research seminars of the Institute of Economics and Econometrics will resume this week, as the new semester starts at the Geneva School of Economics and Management. The full program is available on our website. All are welcome to attend.

Prof. Giacomo Ponzetto, of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (Spain), will start the Geneva Trade and Development Workshops Series this Tuesday and present his research on "The Dracula Effect: Voter Information and Trade Policy". The first researcher invited this Wednesday is Prof. Lin Tian, of the INSEAD Business School (Singapore). Prof. Tian will share her research on “Division of Labor and Productivity Advantage of Cities: Theory and Evidence from Brazil”.

These seminars take place at Uni Mail, on a weekly basis. Internationally recognized scholars from other universities, as well as GSEM faculty members, researchers, and Ph.D. students, are invited to present their latest research. The Institute of Economics and Econometrics also organizes the Geneva Trade and Development Workshops in partnership with the Graduate Institute’s Centre for Trade and Economic Integration, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the World Trade Organization. The GTDW workshops allow academics and researchers in the Geneva region working in the area of trade and development to share work and ideas as well as improve their contact with researchers outside the region. These seminars take place at the Graduate Institute on Tuesdays.
