Olivier Scaillet to address a BCGe seminar on investments

GSEM Prof. Olivier Scaillet, professor of finance and statistics, is invited to participate in a seminar for institutional investors organized on 18 September by the Banque Cantonale de Genève.

This seminar will be dedicated to active management’s performance. Whereas passive management merely replicates performance indices, active management seeks to surpass them by making choices of conviction. The intervention of Prof. Scaillet will focus in particular on value creation in the mutual fund industry.

The sharing of expertise, the dissemination of knowledge and the participation in debates are at the heart of the "service to the community" mission of the University of Geneva. GSEM members actively contribute in their areas of expertise, which include finance, economics, statistics, information science, and management.
