Katarzyna Wac joins the GSEM

On 1 August 2020, the University of Geneva appointed Katarzyna Wac as a Full Professor at the Geneva School of Economics and Management.

Katarzyna Wac holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science from Wroclaw University of Technology (Poland), Master degree in Telematics from University of Twente (the Netherlands) and a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Geneva.

She is an Associate Professor of Computer Science, Human-Centric Computing at University of Copenhagen and an Invited Professor at University of Geneva from January 2015 to July 2020. She has also been affiliated with Stanford University since 2013.

Prof. Katarzyna Wac is the leader of the Quality of Life (QoL) technologies research area affiliated with the Center for Informatics of the University of Geneva. Her research interests revolve around the fundamental and algorithmic problems of systems enabling an assessment and improvement of human behavior, health and quality of life in a long term. Prof. Wac’s research appears in more than 100 peer reviewed proceedings and journals in computer science, human-computer interaction and health informatics.
