Katherine Tatarinov receives the GSEM Young Researcher of the Year Award

Dr. Katherine Tatarinov was selected as the winner of the 2021 GSEM Young Researcher of the Year award. The prize was created in 2019 to promote research within the Geneva School of Economics and Management.

The award recognizes the quality and the impact of the research of a young researcher affiliated with the GSEM in the fields of economics, econometrics, finance, management, statistics, and information systems. The evaluation committee was chaired by the Vice Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs, Prof. Salvatore Di Falco, and was made up of the members of the GSEM Honorary Council.

Dr. Katherine Tatarinov received her Doctorate in Management on 25 June 2021 for her thesis: Managing, structuring and scaling innovation in international organizations. Her dissertation focused on how innovation can be the force to make United Nations organizations efficient at addressing their mandates, such as alleviating hunger, poverty, and disease.

In November 2021, Dr. Tatarinov received the Prix William Rappard for best Ph.D. thesis on Sustainability.

Dr. Tatarinov is the Research Director at the Center for Innovation & Partnerships and a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Management.
