Thomas Fischer appointed Yearly Review Editor of The Leadership Quarterly
Professor Thomas Fischer has been appointed Yearly Review Editor of The Leadership Quarterly, a top-tier journal whose articles are high-impact contributions to the field of leadership. Its Yearly Review Issues clarifies, maps, integrates, problematizes, and redirects important streams of leadership research.
In 2022, Professor Fischer received the Best Article Award from The Leadership Quarterly in recognition of the paper, Ethical leadership: Mapping the terrain for concept cleanup and a future research agenda (co-authored with George C. Banks, Janaki Gooty, and George Stock from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte). Moreover, the paper, Abusive supervision: A systematic review and fundamental rethink (co-authored with Amy Wei Tian, Allan Lee, and David J. Hughes) was first runner-up for the same award.
Thomas Fischer is Assistant Professor of Responsible Leadership at the Geneva School of Economics and Management. His work studies the conceptualization and measurement of leadership styles, and how people talk about (their) leadership.
