Welcome to the start of the 2024-2025 academic year!
As summer comes to an end, a new academic year begins with excitement at the GSEM!
Last week, the Uni Mail campus came alive through the University of Geneva Welcome Days, the Data Science Day, and the Mathematics Preparatory School, which offered an innovative format combining individualized online revision and in-person Q&A sessions.
Welcome sessions for students of the Master's programs also took place during this first week, while the first week of the academic year features the welcome session for Bachelor in Economics and Management. This is the perfect opportunity for some to get to know their new faculty, and for others to keep making progress advancing in their studies.
To succeed in your university journey, adequate support is essential. Therefore, the Student Services of our faculty is available to answer various questions and simplify academic procedures. With its recent redesign, the new student information pages are a key hub, offering personalized assistance and accessible services. The structure is divided into dedicated pages for Bachelor, Master & Certificate programs, Ph.D., Student Intranet, Exchange Programs, and Student Life.
The School offers a wide range of research seminars and workshops, providing an opportunity to discover and discuss current research in the fields of economics, econometrics, management, statistics, and finance.
In addition, the GSEM student community can take advantage of the University of Geneva Library training courses (online and in person) on activities related to managing bibliographic references, searching databases, and avoiding plagiarism. Career, activities, sports, and social integration resources are available via the UNIGE's Vie de campus service. Students can find information and more at their location in the heart of Uni Dufour. Also available is Help UNIGE, which support and guidance for handling cases of harassment, discrimination, conflict, or violence.
Lastly, an easy way for learners to stay informed on the latest research, news, and developments from the School, Faculty, and fellow students, is to connect with the GSEM through its LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
The Geneva School of Economics and Management extends a warm welcome to its students (both new and old) and collaborators and looks forward to a successful and rewarding academic year!
