Céline Carrère is Professor of International Economics at the University of Geneva since 2011 (associate 2011-2015, full since 2015) and currently Director of the Global Studies Institute (an interdisciplinary research center for regional and international relations). She is also a CEPR research fellow in International Trade and Regional Economics and affiliated to Research in International Economics and Finance (RIEF) network. Before joining the University of Geneva she was Research Fellow at CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) in France from 2007 to 2011 and Assistant Professor of Economics at HEC Lausanne, Switzerland (2005-2007). She holds a PhD in economics and econometrics at the CERDI - France (2005). She is currently doing research on developing countries’ exports, trade policy, multilateralim and trade agreements, preferential market access, the impact of trade costs, culture and language on bilateral trade and the relationship between trade liberalization and labor market.
