Exchange Programs

How to prepare your mobility

Admission conditions

The GSEM welcomes you to its Bachelor or Master courses for one or two semesters. The conditions to be met are as follows:

> You have been nominated by your home university under a collaboration agreement.
> You have received registration information from the UNIGE Academic Mobility Service.

Bachelor students must take Bachelor-level courses and are not allowed to take Master’s courses.
Master students can only take Master’s courses and are not allowed to take Bachelor-level courses.

Developing the study plan project

The academic year is divided into two semesters: the fall semester (September – February) and the spring semester (February – August).

Most courses are offered on a semester basis. They take place either in the fall semester (SA) or in the spring semester (SP). Your exchange semester will thus determine your course selection. If you are with us for the entire academic year, you will benefit from courses offered in both semesters.

Please note, the offer is updated each academic year. The course schedule published online in September is the authoritative source.

Restrictions by level of study

Bachelor program
Bachelor students may have restricted access to the following courses:

  • ‘S240008 Soft Skills’
  • ‘S240001 Institutional Project A’
  • ‘S240010 Institutional Project B’

Enrollment is subject to availability, with priority given to regular GSEM students.

Master's programs
The compulsory courses of the Master in Business Analytics and all courses of the Master in Commodity Trading are not open to exchange students.

All programs
Other restrictions may apply, particularly for interdisciplinary courses, workshops, and internships. As the offer of these courses is subject to annual changes, restrictions will be announced on a case-by-case basis directly to the student when they submit their proposed study plan.
