The GSEM's Center for Innovation & Partnerships and the Geneva Innovation Movement are introducing “The Innovation Debate”, a new annual series that aims to debate difficult organizational innovation questions. This year’s event is co-hosted by INSEAD's Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society.
Four high-level managers from large public and private sector organizations will debate the 2023 motion: “Innovation initiatives that originate in large organizations ought to be retained within the overall structure of the organization itself.”
The debate is designed to spur discussion around controversial ideas.
- Speaking for the motion is Cynthia Hansen (Managing Director of the Innovation Foundation - the Adecco Group) and Massimo Gentile (CTO of the Geneva Airport).
- Speaking against the motion is Pradeep Kakkattil (Co-founder of the Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx), born at UNAIDS) and Susanne Emonet (CEO of Farmer Connect, born at Sucafina).
- The evening will be moderated by GSEM Professor Tina Ambos, with input from Professor Felipe Monteiro (INSEAD), GSEM Honorary Professor Gilbert Probst, and Dr. Katherine Tatarinov (UNIL).
