The project Unruly Spaces just launched its official website, which you can now visit here: www.theunrulyproject.org The SNSF project entitled ‘Unruly Spaces : Public Space, Society and Politics in Urban Africa’ and hosted at the Global Studies Institute (UNIGE), is a collaborative research initiative that offers to rethink the notion of urban ‘public’ space from a global South perspective and contributes to scholarly works across political science, urban theory and anthropology by producing a comparative visual-ethnography of urban public spaces in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) and Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo).

The website features the project’s scientific content, a ‘Meet the Team’ section, all of the project’s key outputs (events, collaborations, publications, photography, etc.), and promotes the work of our main collaborators. You’ll also find resources – research centres, initiatives, and networks – to help you find inspiration from various scientific, associational and policy endeavours across the world, with a focus on the African continent. We are always working to add new content to our website, so if you know of any interesting content related to the project’s subject that you’d like to share with us, please get in touch by writing to stephanie.perazzone(at)unige.ch or aline.samake(at)unige.ch.  You can also follow us on Twitter @ProjectUnruly.
