Théo Ribierre
Dr. Théo Ribierre
Coordinator of the human cellular neuroscience facility at Campus Biotech
Theo Ribierre obtained his PhD in neuroscience in October 2020 from Sorbonne Université in Paris, France. He studied the molecular neurodevelopmental bases of paediatric focal epilepsy in the group of Dr Stephanie Baulac at the Paris Brain Institute. He participated in the discovery of a novel genetic mechanism causing epileptogenic cortical malformation and developed both rodent and stem cell-based models of the pathology. Since 2021, when he joined the group of Prof Denis Jabaudon, Theo has been studying the temporal molecular alterations underlying neuropsychiatric disorders using organoid-based models of genetic syndromes. In January 2023, he was nominated academic fellow of the University of Geneva and is the coordinator of the human cellular neuroscience facility (HCNP) at the Campus Biotech, which mission is to promote and support academic research using human-based models such as human stem cells, organoids and surgical or post-mortem tissue.
