4EU+ Student Ambassadors Onsite Meeting in Geneva

On 14-15 May 2024, a delegation of Student Ambassadors from the 4EU+ Alliance gathered at the University of Geneva for their first onsite activity since onboarding in December 2023.  

The 4EU+ Student Ambassadors program is a pilot initiative aimed at fostering a student-led community across member institutions. Student ambassadors participate in communication activities at both university and alliance levels to promote 4EU+and its values. 

This time, UNIGE welcomed 20 student ambassadors with a series of interactive activities under the theme of “Social Media ManagementThe first day kicked off with lively discussions about crisis communication, where students and university staff exchanged experiences and ideas on navigating challenging scenarios. This was followed by the workshop on social media management, where participants learned about audience segmentation, performance-tracking metrics, content strategies and practical case studies, equipping them with essential digital communication skills. The day concluded with a boat cruise on “Lac Léman/Lake Geneva” and a Swiss fondue night. 

On day 2, the spotlight was on the Reels Challenge where students put their acquired skills into practice. Following introductions to 4EU+ mobility opportunities and shared courses, students formed groups, developed promotional strategies for given themes and produced engaging reels. Their abundant creativity andvibrant personalities were beautifully showcased in their final work. Wrapping up the event, participants shared their ideas and enthusiasm for shaping the future of this pilot initiative, realized within the framework of the 1CORE project task 7.4. focusing on student-to-student communication.
