Deploy(Impact) Women++
Women++ is an organization committed to designing collaborative and supportive environments that encourage female participation and inclusion in the swiss tech ecosystem. Their mission is to help individuals and companies to increase and harness diversity in order to improve the quality of their product and their environment.
Women ++ runs a program called deploy(impact). This is a hands-on software development program whose solution will directly benefit a social cause. InZone is proud to have been selected as one of the two project owners for the deploy (Impact) project of 2021. Running remotely, for a duration of six weeks (part-time), 30 participants formed interdisciplinary teams to develop a software solution that would allow InZone students to take exams remotely while ensuring that the University exam protocols are followed.
Deploy(impact) closed with outstanding software solutions pitched by project teams. Overall there was collaboration from 10 countries, over 80% female participation ratio, 80 different skills, 30 mentors from 8 companies, about 2’300 hrs of volunteering work, roughly 17 ½ thousand lines of code, many cups of coffee and tea, countless hours of virtual meetings...
